Ruth A. McConville, 83, of Warren, OH, formerly of Martins Ferry, OH, died Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the Carriage Inn in Steubenville.

She was born on May 8, 1938 in Martins Ferry, OH, to the late George and Frances (Kuckuck) McConville.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers, Don, Bill, Tom and Bob McConville; and her beloved stepfather, Walter Dunlap.

Ruth was a graduate of Martins Ferry High School. She has owned and operated Ruth Ann’s Hairstyling in Warren, Ohio for many years.

Prior to moving to Warren, OH, she was an active member of Martins Ferry’s First Baptist Church. She loved children and found her place teaching Sunday School here and supporting the former Mackey Mission. After moving, she joined Grace United Methodist Church, where she continued to teach Sunday School for many years. She was involved in the missionary work of the church and had the opportunity to participate in mission trips.

Ruth was fortunate enough to have a “green thumb” and loved to spend his free time growing his beautiful garden.

Ruth is survived by her brother, Paul “Uncomfortable” McConville and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received to honor Ruth and celebrate her life on Wednesday, December 8, 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. service, at Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, with Pastor Larry Lewis.
