The Arkansas Baptist College Board of Trustees announced Friday, October 22, that Regina Favors will return to the school as Interim President following the resignation of Carlos Clark, who has held various leadership positions for the past six years. , most recently as president in the past 12 months.
Favors graduated from Arkansas Baptist College.
“We are blessed that Regina Favors assumes the role of Interim President again,” said Justice Richard Mays, chair of the college board. “Ms. Favors is a graduate of this institution who previously served the college in this role after having had a distinguished career as a senior corporate executive. She has always supported our mission to focus on preparing our students for a lifetime of achievement in the career of their choice. ”
Prior to accepting the role of college president, Favors was President and CEO of Pinnacle Business Solutions, a branch of the Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. She had been with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arkansas for 43 years. She also worked for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, DC

Arkansas Baptist College is a historically black college founded in 1884 and built by the children of slaves to give their children the opportunity to continue their education. The college is accredited by the Higher Education Commission.
Favors taught as an assistant professor at the ABC from 1986-2004, extending educational opportunities and careers to students at Arkansas Baptist College. She has also taught at Philander Smith College and Webster University.
She currently serves on the board of trustees of the Arkansas Baptist College Foundation and has previously served on the college board in addition to serving on 32 other boards.
Favors holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas Baptist College and a Masters degree from Ouachita Baptist University with an emphasis in education. She has completed the Duke University Executive Program and is a Certified Health Insurance Executive.
