Ballots for the federal primary election are due today, June 7.
It’s too late to mail ballots, but registered voters can still drop off absentee ballots in person at the county election office or at their designated polling place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Drive-thru drop-off locations are in the driveway of the county election office. off West 11th Street in Kalispell and at the Flathead County Fairgrounds at 265 N. Meridian in Kalispell.
Polls are also open today at the County Fairgrounds, Lakeside QRU, Bad Rock Fire Station, Smith Valley Fire Station, Whitefish Community Center, School Columbia Falls Secondary, Martin City Fire, Marion Fire and Auxiliary, Bigfork Library, Swan River School, Whitefish First Baptist Church and Whitefish Armory.

Same-day registration is no longer an option in Montana following new voting law enacted in the 2021 legislative session. People were allowed to register until noon Monday.
As of Monday, 77,368 people were registered to vote in Flathead County, according to data from the office of the Montana secretary of state. Of the 45,286 absentee ballots mailed out, 14,955 were returned.
