He was shot by two individuals several times “, said Grant. The pastor said his son would drum at his church every Sunday. The family had also celebrated Orin Jr.’s graduation from high school in 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The pastor had a message for the person who killed his son. “I want to say to the perpetrators, violence is not the answer. Negative use of weapons is not the answer. God returns forgiveness. Find peace with God,” Grant said. So far no arrests have been made, and there is no word on a motive. Hours after Grant Jr.’s death, a 23-year-old man was found shot and killed at Peters and Norman streets. His body was found around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday.
