Mrs. Linda M. Thompson, 61, of Williamsport, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday, October 31, 2022, at Gatehouse Hospice of Divine Providence Hospital, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Born August 29, 1961 in Williamsport, Linda was the daughter of Robert C. Carnes and Adelaide “Sunny” and the late Glenn F. Harris.

Linda graduated from the South Williamsport High School class in 1980. She had been employed by Primus Technologies of Williamsport.

She had been a member of the former 40 & 8 Club of Williamsport. She loved diamond painting, Nascar, reading, the lottery and her cats. She loved her nephews and nieces.

She is survived by her son, Shandy L. Thompson, of Vermont; her mother Adelaide “Sunny” Harris, of Williamsport; his brother, William P. Carnes, of Norfolk, Virginia; his sister, Mary E. (Charles) Chaplain, of Williamsport; his brother, Glenn T. Harris (Pearlina), of State College; his sister, Janet M. (Eric) Hillyard, of Salladasburg; and nieces and nephews.

The family will provide the flowers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in his memory may be made, if desired, to the Gatehouse Hospice at Divine Providence Hospital, 1100 Grampian Blvd. Williamsport, Pennsylvania 17701.

Services will be held privately, at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in the Resurrection Cemetery in Muncy. Pastor Tim Snyder of Lycoming Valley Baptist Church in Montoursville will officiate.
