Margie Hawkins Wyatt | Obituary William M. Brito September 26, 2021 Private Baptist Margie Hawkins Wyatt, 90, of North Wilkesboro, died of a long illness on September 21 at Wilkes Health and Rehab. Mrs. Wyatt was born on October 24, 1930 in Wilkes County to Carrie Adams Hawkins and her spouse. Ms. Wyatt was predeceased by her mother and husband Robert Calvin Wyatt. Margie and Robert were married on October 20, 1950 and spent many happy years together until Robert (RC) passed away in 1996. During their healthy years, Robert and Margie were very active in the community. Liberty Grove Baptist Church and the Knotville Volunteer Fire Department. Margie has been a Sunday School teacher for adult women and GA / Acteens facilitator for many years. On the death of Robert Wyatt, Margie served her remaining term on the Knotville Volunteer Fire Department Board of Directors and continued in that position for as long as her health permitted. Ms. Wyatt is survived by her son, Robert “Calvin” Wyatt of North Wilkesboro and her daughter, Rebecca (Becky) Wyatt Holloway and her husband Richard, also of North Wilkesboro. Ms. Wyatt is survived by three grandsons, Robbie Wyatt and his wife, Deana, of North Wilkesboro, Matthew Holloway and his wife, Megan, of Athens, GA, and Phillip Wyatt of Asheville; and two great-grandsons, Briley and Brodie Wyatt, sons of Robbie Wyatt of North Wilkesboro. Due to concerns related to COVID-19, the funeral service will be private with interment in the cemetery at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Sparks as officiant. The family does not ask for food.
