Kevin Andrew Gass, 32, of Newburgh, Indiana, passed away on October 24, 2021. Mr. Gass graduated from Castle High School in 2007, and received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Southern Indiana University. He worked as a computer network technician for Member Track. He was a member of the Vann Avenue Baptist Church. He enjoyed flying drones, riding a bicycle, playing computer games, and taking photographs. Born March 7, 1989 in South Lake Tahoe, California, he was the son of Charles “Marty” (Carol) Gass and Christine (Greg) Thull Ortmann.
He is survived by two sisters: Rachael Ortmann and Crystal (Matt) Day; two brothers: Christopher Gass and Joseph Ortmann; three half-brothers: Jon Ortmann, Mike Ortmann and Alex Burton; grandmothers: Judy Hulskotter and Betsy Ortmann; grandfather: Harold Thull; aunts and uncles: Shawnna and Phil Gerding, Lynda and Jeff Merrill, Jon Stephen Gass, Charlotte and Mike Romano, Pauline and Mark Dowell and Jennifer Eckert; three cousins: Brian (Megan) Gerding, Morgan Merrill and Kaden Merrill; and many other cousins and family members.
He was predeceased by his grandparents: Charles and Geraldine Gass and Larry Hulskotter; and an aunt: Lisa Gass.
Visitations will be from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. funeral services on Thursday, October 28, at Boone Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Ave., Evansville, Indiana, chaired by Rev. Larry Lewis. Interment will be private at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made at Vann Avenue Baptist Church, 2608 Vann Ave., Evansville, Ind., 47714.
