Dharwad, August 18: An FIR has been filed against the principal, college president and a professor at a private college for sexually exploiting female students in the city of Dharwad in Karnataka, police said on Thursday.
The case was registered under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO). The police arrested the principal and the professor and launched a manhunt to find the fugitive college president.

The case came to light after the girls filed a police complaint against the defendants. They said that the accused raped them on the pretext of taking them to places like hospitals, temples.
The police investigation revealed that the accused had sexually harassed more than 10 college students. The accused sexually exploited the two girls who had filed a complaint for 4 years.
The police investigation also revealed that the accused visited the victims in their hotel rooms and stayed there until midnight. Dharwad Upanagar Police are investigating the case.
