James Clyde Holloway, 85, of North Wilkesboro, died Wednesday February 23, 2022 at his home. Mr. Holloway was born July 13, 1936 in Wilkes County to John C. and Belva Mae Holloway. He was a US Army veteran in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a member, served as a deacon, Sunday school superintendent, and served on the nominating committee and finance committee of Northside Baptist Church. Mr. Holloway was a retired truck driver with Key City Furniture for 49 years and later with Bumgarner Trucking Service. James has played country music all his life and played Ghost Town in Maggie Valley. Her love was spending time with her family, friends and family at church. Mr. Holloway was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Barbara Jean Wyatt Holloway; brothers, Joseph, Jasper; and her sisters, Ina Mae and Mary.

Surviving is his wife, Carol Hall Holloway; his children, Michael Todd Holloway, Jackie Harrold and his wife, Johnny, all of North Wilkesboro, Rockie Lynne and his wife, Susan, of Statesville, Melinda Holloway-Fowler and his wife, Tim, of Purlear, Tonya Wood and his wife, Tracy, of North Wilkesboro; son-in-law, Darren Shumate and wife, Lisa, of North Wilkesboro; daughter-in-law, Delores Rhoades and spouse, Bruce, of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; and his niece, Renee Kyle of North Wilkesboro.

A private cemetery service will be held with Brother Jason Seth Whitley officiating. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made at Northside Baptist Church, PO Box 731, North Wilkesboro, NC, 28659. Miller Funeral Service is making arrangements.
